About Proton Lumo WW
Proton Lumo is a privacy-focused AI assistant designed to help individuals and businesses write content, conduct research, analyze documents, solve problems, and improve productivity without compromising their personal data. Developed by Proton, the company behind Proton Mail, Proton VPN, and Proton Drive, Lumo combines AI-powered assistance with a strong commitment to digital privacy and security.
With Lumo, users can ask questions, draft and rewrite emails, summarize lengthy documents, explain complex concepts, brainstorm ideas, assist with coding, and explore topics using web search. It can also analyze uploaded files, generate and edit images, and help organize tasks and projects, making it a versatile assistant for everyday and professional workflows.
Privacy is at the core of Lumo's design. According to Proton, conversations are not used to train its AI models, chat logs are not retained on its servers, and saved conversation history is protected with zero-access encryption. Its Ghost Mode feature lets users have conversations that disappear when the session ends.
Lumo supports web-based access and mobile applications, allowing users to get AI assistance across their devices. Users can start with a free plan or upgrade to Lumo Plus for higher usage limits and additional capabilities.
Whether you're a student, professional, researcher, developer, or business owner, Proton Lumo offers a convenient way to use AI for everyday tasks while prioritizing confidentiality, security, and control over personal information.
